PARAVUR LAKEParavur (Malayalam: പരവൂര് Paravūr), or South Paravoor, may be a city and a municipality within the Kollam district of the Indian state of Kerala. The lakes and shore of Paravur attract guests and foreigners with the most attraction the interconnection of Paravur Kayal (lake) and therefore the sea. Paravur is found at eight.78 N 76 E. it's a median elevation of ten metres (32 feet). Paravur, twenty one kilometers from the Kollam, may be a slim skirt of land stretching in between the backwaters and therefore the ocean. Paravur panchayet was shaped in 1936 collectively of the four panchayats sanctioned by Sir C.P.Ramaswamy Iyer (Diwan-Thiruvithancore). The others were Boothapandi, Nedumangadu, and Perumbavoor. Bhanumati became the primary Municipal president. In Gregorian calendar month 2016, over a hundred individuals were killed during a fireworks explosion at a neighborhood temple within the city.
